In honor of the recent correspondence I’ve begun with Dr. Jay Stauffer, Distinguished Professor of Ichthyology at Penn State University whose work focuses on developing strategies for using Lake Malawi’s native cichlid population to control the snails that carry schistosomiasis, here is a photo slideshow of shots I took while traveling in Malawi in April of 2006.
